Recovery
There is little to no downtime required after microneedling. Patients may experience some redness and swelling for 2 to 3 days. A regular skin care regimen can be resumed after 3 days, but alcohol-based toners and sun exposure should be avoided for 10 to 14 days.
Scars
The tiny punctures created by the microneedling roller are nearly imperceivable. Because microneedling is minimally invasive, it does not result in any visible scarring.
